The U.S. Breastfeeding Committee is excited to announce the launch of the new "Reference Materials for Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change (PSE)" webpage and accompanying downloadable PDF. This webpage features a compilation of resources and reference materials on a range of key topics relevant to the First Food field. As a convener of organizations and a backbone institution in an equity-centered collective impact system, we developed the resource with the intention of creating a central space that organizations can visit for their research and advocacy needs in our collective push for policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change in the world of infant feeding.

Are you trying to make the case for comprehensive paid family and medical leave policies? Are you working to bridge the gaps in healthcare to achieve more equitable maternity care practices? Are your education efforts focused on increasing awareness of the public health and economic benefits of breastfeeding among the public, healthcare providers, or legislators? You can visit this new webpage to conveniently access reference materials to support your advocacy, research, education, media responses, and public relations efforts with evidence. The sections were thoughtfully devised for convenient access to the key evidence-based research and documents that demonstrate why breastfeeding is a public health imperative.

• Breastfeeding Policy Map: The USBC Breastfeeding Policy Map is an interactive map featuring proposed federal and state legislation and regulations with the potential to impact infant feeding and/or the lactation field.
• State & Territory Breastfeeding Reports: The USBC State & Territory Breastfeeding reports illustrate how breastfeeding rates in each state/territory and other measures compare to national levels, list the coalitions serving communities in that district, and highlight state and community-based lactation projects made possible through federal funding.

The U.S. Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) is a national coalition of ~140 organizational members representing nonprofits (national, state, local, and community), breastfeeding coalitions, and federal agencies working to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding and human milk feeding. As a backbone institution, the USBC uses an equity-centered collective impact approach to manage multi-sectoral collaborations focused on federal level change.
