CDC-USBC Bi-Monthly Webinar Series: "The 2-2-2"
The CDC Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity and the USBC co-hosted this series of Bi-Monthly State Breastfeeding Webinars to bring together state/territorial/tribal breastfeeding coalitions to share best practices and news and to network and collaborate on issues of national significance.
Collective Impact Webinars
USBC hosted these webinars as part of its efforts to "engage stakeholders in a Collective Impact model" (USBC Strategic Framework Goal 3). With funding support from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, this series focused on building the capacity of the breastfeeding field to apply collective impact principles and tools to collaborative efforts for policy and practice change.
"NBCC Reimagined" On-Demand Sessions
The NBCC Reimagined series was born out of the cancellation of the 2020 National Breastfeeding Conference & Convening. The Conference Program Committee had already selected the sessions for the convening, so the USBC team "reimagined" them as an on-demand series, offering free continuing education.
Power Tools Webinar Series
From 2014 to May 2020, the USBC hosted this series of bi-monthly webinars as part of its training, technical assistance, and capacity building support for its network of breastfeeding coalition, national organizations, and community-based organizations throughout the United States.
Racial Equity Webinars
The USBC hosted this series of bi-monthly webinars as part of its efforts to "create and model a culture of inclusion, diversity & equity" (Strategic Framework Goal 4). With funding support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the series focused on building the capacity of the breastfeeding field to apply both an "equity lens" to inform and guide our external strategies and activities, and also an "equity mirror" to examine our internal structures, culture, and policies.
