September 27 through October 1 (and beyond!)

The U.S. House of Representatives is voting on the Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) for Nursing Mothers Act (H.R. 3110) on Friday, October 22.

Join us by calling, emailing, and tweeting members of the U.S. House of Representatives and urging them to vote YES on the PUMP Act!

We need to keep the pressure on until the House votes on the PUMP Act. Please keep calling, emailing, and tweeting!

Nearly 9 million women of childbearing age are not covered by the Break Time for Nursing Mothers law, the federal provision that requires break time and a private space for breastfeeding employees to pump during the workday. The PUMP Act would close this gap. Congress has a chance to act. Let's raise our voices together!

Call Script

Hello, my name is [________]. I live in [city, state, zip code] and am a constituent of Representative [name]. I’m calling to urge [him/her/them] to vote yes in support of House Bill 3110, the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act. This bill will cover 9 million women of childbearing age who don’t currently have protections that would give them time and a private space to pump breast milk at work. This is wrong and must be fixed. Passage of the PUMP Act would make a world of difference for families and I hope you’ll vote yes when it comes to the floor this week.

[Add your own words about why this bill is important and why your Representative should support it. Share your own story.]
