The Eight National Breastfeeding Coalitions Convening will be held August 4-5, 2018, in Atlanta, Georgia. The USBC is thrilled to convene this singular event once again, with a continued focus on enhancement of breastfeeding coalitions' capacity to implement The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding through policy and practice change, with an emphasis on racial equity and community engagement.
The Convening will be preceded by the USBC Membership Meeting on Friday, August 3, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. with a variety of networking events to follow that evening (all participants are encouraged to attend these evening events). NBCC will be followed by an optional on-site Advocacy Training Workshop on the afternoon of Sunday, August 5, from 2 p.m - 5 p.m. Registration for the USBC Membership Meeting and the Advocacy Workshop are within the main conference registration; they are listed as "additional events."
