CDC-USBC Bi-Monthly Webinars
The CDC Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity and the United States Breastfeeding Committee co-host this series of Bi-Monthly State Breastfeeding Webinars held every two months (in even-numbered months) on the second Tuesday of the month from 2-3 p.m. ET. They bring together state/territorial/tribal breastfeeding coalitions to share best practices and news and to network and collaborate on issues of national significance.
Access to these webinars is open to all interested breastfeeding advocates. Topic/speaker details are posted 1-2 weeks before each session on this page and in the Coalitions Learning Connection. The recordings and presentation materials from all past sessions are archived below.
NOTE: To streamline access, these webinars are set up in GotoWebinar as a series. You only need to register for the series once, and you will then receive auto-reminders of each session with the topic/speaker details. Even though you may not be able to attend every webinar session live, the series registration will still send you auto-reminders so that you have easy updates on the topic and links to the live webinar and archives.

Taking Your Breastfeeding Coalition to the Next Level
Brenda Bandy, Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition (KBC), Monica Esparza, and Jennifer Mastripolito, New Mexico Breastfeeding Taskforce (NMBTF)
Looking for ways to move your state breastfeeding coalition from all volunteers to paid staff? From donations to contracts and grants? During this interactive webinar, you will have the opportunity to hear from the Executive Directors of the New Mexico Breastfeeding Taskforce (NMBTF) and the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition (KBC) to learn how they have successfully moved their coalition to the next level. Following a brief presentation from the NMBT & KBC, the panel will be open for questions and discussion with the audience about the practicalities of building a strong state breastfeeding coalition. Ask questions about contracts for special projects, using independent contractors, and much more. Individuals from coalitions at all levels of capacity are encouraged to join so we can learn from each other.
