Cindy Galloway, RDN, LD, IBCLC, Public Health Dietitian and Breastfeeding Coordinator
Cindi Bennett, MN, RN, IBCLC, St. Luke's Health System
Please join the USBC on this webinar, to explore how this small group project grew with the help of the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition to include a diverse rural and urban geographic area of the state of Idaho and facilitated a partnership of a health system of 8 hospitals and community WIC peer counseling programs from 3 Health Districts to improve breastfeeding support transition from hospital to community.
Participants will also learn how a coalition can facilitate a process of providing a transition of skilled support for lactation between a hospital and community WIC breastfeeding peer counselors per Action Step 8 of the Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding which is to: Develop systems to guarantee continuity of skilled support for lactation between hospitals and health care settings in the community.
