From 2006-2020, the CDC Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity and the USBC co-hosted this series to bring together breastfeeding coalitions to share best practices and news and to network and collaborate on issues of national significance.
National Activities and Resources to Support Implementation of the Federal “Break Time for Nursing Mothers” Law
Media/PR & Development Coordinator
United States Breastfeeding Committee
The United States Breastfeeding Committee will present new content developed with funding from the Office on Women’s Health to inform moms about their rights under the federal "Breaks for Nursing Mothers" law. This new resource combines information from all federal sources addressing the law and was developed with feedback from target audience reviewers to ensure the content is comprehensive and accessible. Concurrent to this work, the Nursing Breaks Law Task Force has identified gaps in information/guidance related to the law. This webinar will provide an opportunity to review the findings of this gap analysis and contribute additional clarifications needed. The compiled results from the gap analysis and this webinar will be shared with the Department of Labor. Additionally, USBC will share details on new funding awarded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to work in this area.
