National Nonprofit Member
Non-governmental, not-for-profit organizations of national scope that are based in the United States and are supportive of the mission of the USBC may apply for and maintain national nonprofit membership, excepting such organizations whose primary purpose is to market or sell products or services in support of infant formula feeding. National nonprofit members are voting members of the USBC.
There is a fee for processing the application, but this is only paid upon initial application, and then every 5 years upon renewal. There are no dues, although many of our member organizations do choose to support the infrastructure of the USBC by making an annual (optional) donation to the Friends of the USBC.
Federal government agencies that impact breastfeeding mothers and children may be invited to governmental membership in the USBC. Governmental members are non-voting members of the USBC.
There are no dues or initial/renewal application fees for governmental membership.
The USBC currently convenes active Constellations (action-focused work teams) or is incubating Constellations to form on several topic areas. Please keep your organization's Engagement Levels on these topics in mind when choosing member representatives. You may wish to ensure that you have a representative aligned to participate in each topic area identified as Core and/or Involved Engagement Level for your organization.
