Let's Talk Breastfeeding
Much of the media coverage and public discourse about breastfeeding has focused on behavior change of the individual mother, rather than on the context in which women and babies breastfeed and the systemic changes needed to support breastfeeding. To give all mothers and babies the strongest chance at breastfeeding success, we need to change our culture and build support in communities, hospitals and workplaces. How do we talk about breastfeeding in ways that help shift the conversation and our culture? In this workshop, we'll discuss the concept of framing and share high-level findings from research that the W.K. Kellogg Foundation commissioned, as well as a new First Food message guide.
