2020 was a year of immense challenges and high stakes, but one thing remained steady: the passion and dedication of USBC supporters. Here are just a few of the accomplishments that we achieved together last year:
Helped make babies a priority in emergencies |
Passed the Friendly Airports for Mothers Improvement Act |
Fought to close law gaps for breastfeeding workers |
Shaped the first ever Dietary Guidelines for babies and pregnant and lactating women |
Secured two breastfeeding objectives in Healthy People 2030 |
Secured $9 million in federal funding for CDC breastfeeding programs |
Last year, thousands of individuals from across the Nation shared stories, contacted members of Congress, donated, and spoke out to protect and expand the policies and investments that help create a landscape of breastfeeding support across the United States. Every donation, every petition signature, every legislator contacted, brings us closer to ensuring every family has the opportunity to reach their human milk feeding goals.
We are thankful for everything we accomplished together during this challenging time, and we look forward to continuing our work together in 2021.
Advocacy efforts like these are entirely funded by contributions from our donors. Please consider donating to support the USBC mission.
