Engagement Level Descriptors
Organizations indicating a Core-level interest in a topic area likely have well-established programs, partnerships, and funding in this area already. They are instigators, co-creators, and/or accelerators of activities on this topic. They may already be taking a leadership role in a collaborative effort on the topic, or would be interested in taking a leadership role, committing to share risks, resources, responsibilities, and rewards to achieve a common purpose.
Organizations indicating an Involved-level interest in a topic area likely have programs, partnerships, or funding in this area already, but not necessarily all three. They are collaborators and promoters of activities on this topic. They are willing to actively participate in building a collaborative effort on the topic, committing to coordinate mutually reinforcing activities to achieve a common purpose.
Organizations indicating a Supportive-level interest in a topic area may only be minimally active in this area, but are interested in staying up to date, sharing information and resources with their networks, and supporting advocacy initiatives. They are disseminators of activities on this topic. They are willing to share information and sign on in support.
Organizations indicating a Peripheral-level interest in a topic area are not currently active in the area and have only a minimal level of interest. They may still be exploring the feasibility of the organization’s investment in this area.
