Welcome to the One Dollar for Every Mom campaign!
|
USBC aims to raise One Dollar for Every New Mom in the United States. With these funds, we will make mothers' voices heard in ongoing national debates on health care, work-life balance, and consumer safety. The closer we come to representing each mother in America, the more clearly we can show the President and Congress: "Americans believe that EVERY MOTHER COUNTS." Help us reach the goal of one dollar for each new mother. Please donate today!

One Dollar for Every Mom will run from September 23, 2009 through January 18, 2010. The final amount raised will be announced during a special celebration at the National Conference of State/Territory/Tribal Breastfeeding Coalitions in Arlington, Virginia.
Calling all State/Territory Breastfeeding Coalitions! We will be tracking contributions by state/territory, to determine the state from which the amount raised represents the highest proportion of the state's mothers (see chart below for details). The breastfeeding coalition for the winning state or territory will receive 5% of the state's total amount raised to further its breastfeeding advocacy work. This award will be presented by a noted friend of USBC at the January conference.
Check back monthly to follow the progress of the One Dollar for Every Mom campaign!

Current as of 1/11/2010. Final update will be posted the week of 1/18/2010!
NOTE: Due to the wide variance in states' births and population, USBC will reward the state or territory with the highest proportion of its mothers represented by funds raised from the state's residents, rather than the state with the highest dollar amount raised.
Since many of our member organizations are housed in Washington, DC, to be fair to all states Organizational/Corporate donations do NOT count towards One Dollar for Every Mom campaign tallies. Thus all tallies below are comprised of individual donations only.
